Palo Santo or “Holy Wood” is a sacred tree native to South America, and is one of the most fragrant woods in the world. Its sweet scent of pine, mint and lemon has, for centuries, been a harbinger of healing and good fortune. The Palo Santo is often used to cleanse, protect & soothe when used for smudging or burning.

When done mindfully, the gathering of fallen Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) wood is a sustainable practice. When a tree grows old and dies of natural causes, it eventually falls to the forest floor. The tree then resides there for a number of years, untouched, allowing the rich oils within to refine with time, creating the pleasant aromas we experience with this precious wood

How to use:

Ignite one end of the palo santo and allow the flame to burn for 5-15 seconds
Blow out the fire and allow the smoke to dissipate onto your bracelet for 1.5 minutes
Rest the smouldering Palo Santo stick in a heat-proof bowl and allow the embers to burn out
Highly recommend to smudge your palo santo in an open environment free of winds ie. The living room to allow for better ventilation of the smoke during smudging.

Caution: When burning palo santo, place them in a heatproof dish. Never leave burning palo santo unattended.
